Many people from outside the State still do not know much about Bau. They may have heard of the name, but do not know much about the place, except that it is once famous for its gold mining.
Therefore, the website will become a useful tool in promoting tourism in Bau district by providing
information on historical background, geographical information, tourist attractions places as well as up-to-date events happening in Bau.

The Bau Town Website (www.bau.com.my) which was set up on 1st January 2001 this year under voluntary basis and managing it only on free time, has been receiving very good response from surfers, both local and foreign.

With the helps and feedback from various government departments and community leaders in the district, have enabled the website to provide up-to-date information about government departments, schools, social organisations and other current news about Bau town.  However, we also hopes that youths who are either staying or away from the town will come forward to give a helping hand by providing extra information or relevant photographs especially on historical events, people or scenery.

Lastly, we welcomes feedback and constructive ideas on ways to improve the website and any other form of assistance including financial support in the form of advertisements.
