BAU ready for floods
Bau is ready for the big floods that normally hit the state in January or February as had happened for three years running since 2002.Many flood relief centres and  rescue boats had been placed on standby and all the flood operations were ready to spring into action.High tide was forecast for Jan 9-15, 27 and 28 and Feb 7-13 and Feb 24-28.

More than 14 areas were affected by the worst flood in Bau since 1963 Flood Tragedy.
